Cast Iron Cooked Pork Chop Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1-inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Take the pork chops from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. This will allow the pork chops to cook more evenly.
  • Preheat your cast iron  to cooking medium-high cooking heat
  • Mix the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  • Rub the spice mixture all over the pork chops, and coat them evenly.
  • Add the olive oil and heat until shimmering.
  • Add the pork chops to the cast iron and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until a golden-brown crust forms.
  • Cook till the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F for medium rare or 160°F for medium.
