Chuck Roast Recipe with Slow-Cooking Method

Ingredients
3 to 4 pounds of chuck roast
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves of garlic, minced
2 cups of beef broth
1 cup of red wine (optional)
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon of dried thyme
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 tablespoon of salt
1 teaspoon of black pepper
Instructions
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook until the onion is translucent about 5 minutes.
Add the chuck roast and brown on all sides, about 3 minutes per side.
Add the beef broth, red wine (if using), bay leaves, thyme, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Bring the mixture to a simmer, cover the Dutch oven, and transfer it to a preheated oven at 325°F.
Cook for 3 to 4 hours or until the meat is tender and falls apart easily.
