Fiery Crab Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the garlic and ginger and sauté for another minute.
  • Whisk in the ketchup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sriracha sauce, and red pepper flakes.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the sauce warm with your favorite seafood dish.

Notes

- You can adjust the level of spiciness in the sauce by adding more or less sriracha sauce and red pepper flakes.
- This sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
