Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream

- 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and halved
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
In a blender or food processor, combine the strawberries and sugar. Blend until smooth.
In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry mixture, heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until well combined.
Cover and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
Pour the chilled mixture into the pre-frozen bowl of your Cuisinart ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually for 20-30 minutes.
Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
