Course Main Course
Cuisine American

Ingredients

  • Ribs
  • Barbeque sauce, apple cider vinegar, or water
  • Garlic, onions, herbs, or other seasonings
  • Seasonings such as salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and others

Instructions

  • Season the ribs with your preferred dry rub or seasoning blend.
  • Add a small amount of liquid to the slow cooker. It can be chicken broth, barbecue sauce, or apple cider vinegar. The liquid will help keep the meat moist and flavorful.
  • Place the ribs in the slow cooker, meaty side down.
  • Cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the size of the ribs and your slow cooker.
  • After the cooking time is up, carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker and brush them with additional barbecue sauce, if desired.
  • Although optional, you can finish the ribs on the grill or under the broiler to caramelize the barbecue sauce and give them a lovely sear.
