Simple Tazatziki Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Greek yoghurt
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Peel the cucumber and grate it into a separate bowl. Squeeze out any excess moisture from the grated cucumber.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yoghurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, and extra-virgin olive oil. Mix well.
  • Add the grated cucumber and chopped fresh dill to the yoghurt mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Stir all the ingredients until well combined.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the tzatziki to an airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavours to meld together.
  • Before serving, give the tzatziki a good stir.
  • Serve chilled as a dip with pita bread, and fresh vegetables, or as a sauce for grilled meats.
