Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups raw sunflower seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine sunflower seeds, olive oil, chili powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Toss to coat sunflower seeds evenly with spices and oil.
  • Spread sunflower seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until sunflower seeds are golden brown and crispy.
  • Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your desired level of spiciness.
  • For a sweet and spicy twist, add a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup to the seasoning mixture before tossing with the sunflower seeds.
  • If you enjoy smoky flavors, you can substitute some or all of the paprika with smoked paprika.
