Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or fork
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Jar or container

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup of Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup of Agave syrup or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup of Apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon of Garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon of Onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of Black pepper

Instructions

  • You must take your time to prepare and combine all the necessary ingredients into a mixing bowl. Combine the Dijon mustard, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, and garlic powder in a mixing bowl. Also, add onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the mixing bowl.
It’s a necessity to use Dijon mustard as it has a distinctive taste and texture different from regular yellow mustard. Additionally, agave or maple syrup is a vegan-friendly alternative to honey, which is not vegan. All the ingredients listed above are pretty important if you want to achieve the right taste.
  • Once you have added all of the ingredients to the bowl, use a whisk or fork to mix them until they combine properly. Make sure you whisk or stir thoroughly to ensure smooth and lump-free sauce.
  • This is the next thing to do once you have mixed and stirred the necessary ingredients. You must taste the sauce or dip and adjust the sweetness or spiciness to your liking. If you prefer a sweeter sauce, add more agave or maple syrup. If you prefer a spicy sauce, add more mustard.
Tasting the sauce is very important, allowing you to adjust the taste if it doesn’t meet your liking. Once the sauce is seasoned to your liking, transfer it to a jar or container and store it in the refrigerator. The sauce can stay in the refrigerator for several weeks when stored in an airtight container.
