Ingredients
  

  • 1 block of silken tofu
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 green onion
  • Optional: toasted sesame seeds
  • Optional: chopped cilantro

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, mirin, and grated ginger in a small bowl.
  • Cut the silken tofu into desired serving sizes.
  • Place the silken tofu in a saucepan and add enough water to cover it.
  • Heat the saucepan over medium heat until the water comes to a gentle simmer.
  • Remove the silken tofu from the water using a slotted spoon or tongs and transfer it to serving plates.
  • Pour the sauce over the warm silken tofu, coating it evenly.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and chopped cilantro, if desired.
  • Serve the warm silken tofu immediately while it is still hot.

1. Handle silken tofu gently to prevent it from breaking apart.
2. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.
